having too high expectations

Well last night I was at the Rocket Rooms five year anniversary party and I had far too high expectations on some of the acts they had booked. Well I met up with my best pal for dinner 'n beer before the show and he had been to Big Jeff's Rockabilly Hangout earlier in the week and he had met someone who told him that all acts was only gonna play two songs each. And that kind of bum me out because I had been looking forward to see Riley McOwen's comeback gig for months only to find out he would play only two songs and that he would be play with a big band. It was still an good show  overall but I was expecting a great show so it was kind of a let down. And there was allot of people who had no f#ckin' clue to what kind of music or culture that the club "represents". So they asked stupid questions like :How does your hair get that shine? and :What is the music called? so I wonder why are they there ?. Why would you attend a show if you don't know what kind of music is gonna be played? And why are people amazed by pomade?. But the good things on the show was Sonny Rogers doin' the old Carl Mann tune I'm comin' home. And Lilly Mae was absolutely amazing she did Voodoo and This little girl's gone rockin' that girl's got a voice of an angel it's an pure delight too hear her sing. I didn't stay too the bitter end because I drank a few beers to many so didn't see Howlin' Pelle but I saw all other acts and my best pal said that he was pretty bad so don't think I missed out on anything. But I'm looking forward to Live and Jive next month and the next Rocket Room show. Cause I'll go Rockin' n' a Rollin'
